I know, it’s confusing, right? After telling you doctors recommend avoiding anything not labeled 100% juice, I’m recommending a juice “drink”. But Aren’t We Supposed to Avoid Juice “Drinks”? I’m so excited that we got a sneak peek (and taste!) of their solution. So, the company began to work on a way to make their juices more accessible to everyone. They heard from many consumers who loved their pressed, not from concentrate, and additive-free apple juice but not the high level of natural sugars from the apples. But the high heat required for making apple juice concentrate can also reduce the nutritional value of the juice itself. This reduces cost for packing, storage, and shipping. But even then, 100% apple juice is typically made from apple juice concentrate (and can still have added ingredients like ascorbic acid).
